The staff are unobtrusive and courteous. The hotel has elegant and fairly quiet rooms with a nice view, a home-like atmosphere plus a proper shower.

Old-fashioned hotel in a beautiful area close to today's Bruges, and Brugge at the most fotographed spot in town. Well-appointed and beautifully maintained room with amazing view, beautiful views of the swans, 1600s paintings, and safe too for guests' safety. Very central location, at a medium distance from a Roman Catholic basilica.

This hotel was very central for all the main sites in Bruges. It had alot of character and beautiful views. The staff were very friendly and helpful. We decided to stay an extra day and the only room available was the canal view suite (room 5) - beautiful room and much quieter at the back of the hotel.

The beds were a bit lumpy and we couldn't switch the heating off in the bathroom of our first room, so it was like a sauna. There was also a nasty smell from the toilets, and the cleaners woke us up every night when cleaning at 2am!

Prime location right on the canal. Hotel was one of the oldest hotels and full of character and the staff were very friendly and welcoming. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay there.

As smokers, we had rooms on the top floor where we could smoke and admire the view. My room had a small bath and I had to be something of a contortionist to get in and out of it. But, apart from that it was a great place to stay.

The room was reasonably priced. the view from the room was amazing. - the addition of a safe box, television, and tea/coffee making equipment was much appreciated. - the hotel's location was incredible, just a short walk from the Gruuthusemuseum. - the hotel was conveniently located next to a Christmas market and a regular market.

The restaurant was really nice for dinner, offering appetising dishes, with amenities like a TV set and a safe box available.

spent 1 night here with my baby, had a really comfortable stay overall. all of the staff were best, extremely friendly. the breakfast was generous and lovely, with a fantastic sun & swan filled view and reasonably priced. loved my stay and location of the hotel, and will come back.

The room I booked online had a huge fireplace, which I loved. the breakfast was generous and gorgeous, and I enjoyed the fantastic view of the canal. - the hotel's central location was lovely, especially hearing the bells chiming from the clock tower.

The location is great, but has the big inconvenience that there's no parking

The bathroom was old and needed restructuring the bed sheets were so used and old that they were hard! Mosquitos in the morning, probably due to the proximity of the river

I would say that this place is excellent!!! I stayed in deluxe room #10.
